Riverside Elementary has received a grant for the Rockin’ Readers Program funded by Cracker Barrel Old Country Store, to help build caring and literacy in the community.

Rockin Reader Pattye Hewitt is one of many community volunteers needed for the Rockin' Reading program at Riverside Elementary Schoo. She is reading to first grader Breanna Galiano.

Cracker Barrel has provided Riverside with two new double rocking chairs, along with a barrel of new books.

Riverside’s goal is to have every child in the school be read to at least one time by the end of this school year. Community volunteers are needed to share books with the students.

For information, call the school office at 863.3141.
